I‘m giving up. As interesting as it sounds, it‘s too large for me. I read the basics in preparation and therefore knew where it all would go.
It‘s weird but the more detailed the author writes, the more interesting and in the same amount boring does the book get.
For me it‘s too scrupulously precise, I‘d appreciate a tighter narration.
Many things are interesting. But not interesting enough to keep my interest.

? Sadly not too different from usually although I‘m on vacation. Much private paperwork to do. Plus elderly and stubborn ? parents. But: I enjoy waking up without alarm clock ⏰.

A busy day is over.
I commuted between supermarkets, medical appointments and the pharmacy. Chores, some of which I procrastinated, others not, came on top.
Now I feel as exhausted as after a working day with overtime. So I skip the 50 pages I actually wanted to read in here and more or less directly move forward to a horizontal position to relax my muscles.
I tried this snack my significant other brought me some weeks ago. I really like it. It‘s not as addictive as regular crisps. You know, not that: “Oh-I-only-can-stop-after-the-bag-is-empty”-type of addiction.
I hope, not too many of the characters in my book in the end turn out to be important because they are all named Mary plus a second name. I am only a bit further than page 60 and already encountered about 5 different Marys.
Not as dragging, as factional as I assumed it to be – but it‘s no swift reading either.
To be honest, I‘m quite happy that about 100 of the 532 pages are annex. 😅
Even though I acknowledge that the author definitely tries to write as clear as possible I am not sure if I need to know the process of investigation – and of who‘s thinking what – as detailed as presented.
I think, I will try daily reading assignments to wrestle this down.
Today‘s #KeepLitsyPositive (Day 7), I want to send out to @Rachel.Rencher especially. I feel so sad for the situation she describes.
Today, I made a deal with my mother. After my regular medical appointments I would stop at her house to pick up today‘s newspaper from her letterbox because she would put it therein after she had read it.
Well, she did and secretly added the above bar of chocolate. 💗
Now starting this one. Even though I need to admit that I am meanwhile a bit sceptical because of the publisher. It‘s “C. H. Beck” which in Germany is mostly known for its non-fictional books, for its books about law, taxes and economy. I myself had some of their textbooks during my studies – and so, sorry, I‘m not expecting too much, but I kind of dragging, factional, boring writing style.

pickWow. What an intriguing look into a convent gone very wrong, and the process by which such matters were dealt with in Catholic church courts.
