Ever wonder what happened before the Bone cousins got lost in the uncharted forest of the Valley? Or how Boneville came to be? This is the hilarious companion to the epic BONE saga. Long before the Bone cousins were ever lost in the uncharted desert on the outskirts of the Valley, Big Johnson Bone, the discoverer of the Rolling Bone River, founded Boneville. But little is known of the mighty explorer's adventures before he started his famous trading post. So when Smiley Bone sits down with a group of young campers to retell the legendary stories of Boneville's origin and its tough, no-nonsense founder, what they hear are tall tales in typical BONE fashion--wild antics complete with rat creatures, dragons, and a snarky little monkey!

I must have been reading Bone books since I was in high school, and they don't stop being cute, nor do the Rat Creatures stop being funny in their stupidity. Not super fond of lady bones having hair and some backstory feels a little forced but overall, cute and entertaining.
Bonus cat!

Here is a pic of the indie bookstore I shopped at today. It is in Decatur Georgia. I can't show you what I bought because the purchases are for my #SummerSantaGoesPostal. #independentbookstoreday

Reese_Pearly.Pages Is this by Kroger and Gymboree? I think I passed this once. I hardly ever go to Decatur. 8y
Bookladylinda @Reese_Pearly.Pages that's it! You should stop in sometime, it's a cute shop. There is another one in Decatur that I've been to called Eagle Eye Books, they are on North Decatur Rd., in Decatur. I didn't get a chance to go on Saturday. 8y
EchoLogical @Bookladylinda Do you live in the Decatur area? I went to the Decatur Book Festival a few years ago and fell in love with the place! I could live without the traffic, though. 😆 8y
Reese_Pearly.Pages I'm North- Atlanta/ Marietta. I never knew about the Decatur Book fest! I plan to catch one soon. 8y
Bookladylinda @EchoLogical Actually I live in Lawrenceville, I work close to Decatur, my hair salon is also in Decatur so I'm there weekly. I like the area as well. 8y
