This was a really interesting story about the origins of the Rothschild banking dynasty. The role the mother played in the cohesion of this family, her support of her husband as he built the empire, and all the prejudices and discrimination they lived through is a testimony to family, courage and resilience

Pickpick

A super great story of the beginning of the Rothschild's dynasty. Gutle tells her story through her notebooks. From the day she first sees Meir Rothschild out her one window in the ghetto of Frankfurt, the the creation of this dynasty through the hard work, talent and faith of her husband. Her life as the matriarch is a beautiful tale. And the passion and love of Gutle and Meir shines throughout.
@Cinfhen have you read this?

Cinfhen It‘s on my TBR!!! I think it‘s available through Kindle Unlimited 💕 5y
Crazeedi @Cinfhen I learned so much about your faith reading this. Her strength was what was so amazing, her understanding of her place in the circle of her family, what she contributed as a mother and wife. Made me think how lacking I was in my life... 5y
Cinfhen Oh wow...now I‘m even more curious/ thanks for the recommendation ❤️ 5y
