I'm really liking Kameron Hurley's writing (love her essays) but it's so emotionally hard to read I keep taking breaks for other stuff in the middle of this.

The world building is strong in this series. An interesting mix of very strong women, men and non-binary characters as well as interesting cultures and magic.
Sadly, the whole book read on the same level of suspense... Instead of not being able to put the book down, I stopped reading often during the middle of a chapter to do something else.
So good and bad points cancel out to "ok"

Rereading this because I'm about to buy book 2 (finally) and book 3 comes out in April 2017!
aaaagh! just as i thought: difficult and dark and beautiful. the plot thickens, with fast-paced action throughout. book 2 of the Worldbreaker saga. an intense series.
second book in the Worldbreaker Saga! middle books in trilogies are always hard, so im braced for continued hardship...in the best possible way.
