pickI‘ve been looking forward to this #authoramonth all year. This was a childhood fave. To read it as an adult and all the knowledge that comes with being an adult gave it an added slightly darker layer.
I read this over and over again as a kid (and still have my battered and yellowed copy). I saw myself in Sally; I loved her imagination and her way of looking at the world. Judy Blume is the queen of taking tough issues and making them accessible for younger readers. I think I read that this is her most autobiographical novel ♥️ #adventrecommends @emilyrose_x

pickY‘all know the feeling - when you are searching through books and come across one that you‘ve held on to since childhood? I LOVE that feeling. Judy Blume is my girl - she and Beverly Cleary were on heavy rotation when I was a kid. But THIS book is the one I read over and over again. It‘s obviously well loved ❤️❤️❤️
