Don't miss the final Alex Rider mission - now in paperback! Scorpia has dogged Alex Rider for most of his life. They killed his parents, they did their best to con Alex into turning traitor, and they just keep coming back with more power. Now the world's most dangerous terrorist organization is playing with fire in the world's most combustible land: the Middle East. No one knows Scorpia like Alex. And no one knows how best to get to Alex like Scorpia. Until now.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ For a “thrilling conclusion” it fell quite flat and was very predictable. I know that it‘s a struggle for an author to tie up (what was at the time) a 9 Book series, but it didn‘t do the series any justice. It‘s understandable why more books are being written.

I feel like the author is just recycling plot from earlier books in the series - this was very similar to the plot of book 2. It's still very fast paced, but I'm getting a little bored with MI6 seeming to turn heel every 4 chapters. There was a very quick development in maturity, and the plot twists can still be seen from 100 miles away.

Whilst Harry Potter is one of my favourite childhood books, I'd like to share with you another favourite of mine: The Alex Rider Series.
I recently found out there is another book in the series! I have decided this will be one of my holiday reads when I go to Japan this Summer 😊
.
QOTD:
What are some of your favourite childhood books?

lattesandliterature I went through a big Alex Rider phase too! I still have all the books 🙈 Did you ever see the movie? 8y
little.red.bookie @lattesandliterature Yay! Sadly I've lost most if my books when I moved houses and only have the last 3 😭 Yes I did! It was horrible 😩 Nothing like the books at all! What did you think? 8y
lattesandliterature @little.red.bookie I had a major crush on Alex Pettyfer, so I managed to enjoy it as a separate thing from the books. 😂 But yeah, as usual the books were waaaay better! 8y

My boy's bookcase for #Shelfie #riotgrams. Books and Lego - what more does a 9 year old want?! I confess I don't really have many actual shelves as I tend to pass my books on once I've read them, but the rest of my family are book hoarders and the house is bursting at the seams! #raisingreaders

I surely won't be able to sleep soundly tonight after finishing this. As Alex Rider's last task as a spy for MI6, it affected him most and almost broke his soul. Such an emotional read. 😢 Even if it ends, I'll always miss my bookish crush since junior high.
