There were things I loved about this book, like the beautiful, descriptive language, the obviously extensive research the author did, some of Germaine‘s inner thoughts on sex and men, and the wonderful ending. The weird pacing and the sadness and seediness (I need a shower!) of big parts of the story took something away for me though. A fictionalized history of Picasso‘s early years, so maybe it‘s just that I‘m not a Picasso fan?🤷🏻♀️
