🌳 Whenever I‘m in a reading rut, or even a personal rut, I turn to Mary Oliver. This one is as beautiful and tender as her others. A breath of fresh air. 🌱

I wish I'd read Mary Oliver as a teen. When I read her now as an adult, for some reason I always wonder what my younger self would think of her lovely words.
I will always love Mary Oliver.
Mary Oliver ALWAYS kills me and I ALWAYS run out of page flags for her collections of poetry.
#ReadingResolutions Day 3: Catching up on posts because of Litsy‘s downtime - #FavoriteAuthor - there are way too many, but Oliver heals my soul. She knows how to weave words that will nourish, sustain, and make the reader look up in gratitude, with the knowledge of a personal divinity that also happens to be raw, wild, and primitive, within one‘s being. Happy Poetry Month. Could also count for Day 4: #Wilderness.
#FierceFeb Day 8: I think #DearMrPresident (I am imagining Obama in this scenario, of course) would echo what the sea is saying here in its lovely voice.
My modest little collection of poetry in my library (not including Staying Alive and Bluets). Only in the last few years have I really started to read poetry regularly. Do you have a favorite poet or collection? #aprilbookshowers #poetry
When all else fails Mary Oliver 😍
