All My Patients Kick and Bite
All My Patients Kick and Bite: More Favorite Stories from a Vet's Practice | Jeff Wells
5 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
The highly amusing, uplifting and entertaining follow-up to All My Patients Have Tales In this second collection by our intrepid vet, Jeff Wells has his work cut out for him when he learns that llamas do not take kindly to having their toenails trimmed, dog owners in the medical field can be a real pain, Scottish Highland cattle stick together and just might run a vet out of their enclosure, and fixing an overly amorous burro often needs to be prioritized. Told with Wells's trademark humor and gentle touch, these and many other heartwarming, heartbreaking, funny and strange stories will give readers a whole new appreciation for those who care for our pets. .

I enjoyed this. I‘m not sure if there are more in his series of stories, but if there is, I will continue reading them

As a veterinary professional, reading books like this are not entertaining for me. I prefer books to take me other places rather than rehash may daily reality. But, this was in my neighborhood #littlefreelibrary, and I needed a book for the #animalonthecover prompt for #booked2020. I think most people would enjoy it, so I will give it a "Pick", despite being more "So-so" for me. . @4thhouseontheleft @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage

BarbaraTheBibliophage Good on you for getting through it! 🐶 5y
cherinium I will say it was an easy read, and the scope of Dr. Wells' practice is much different from mine; so that helped. 😊 5y

I like most veterinary case books, but this author is exceptionally good. All kinds of cases with all kinds of animals. Each story is a chapter and he captures the mood of the situation so well.

Yes, his patients bite and kick, especially when people say their dog never bites.
