panGreat premise - passengers disappearing from a cruise ship - and interesting twists. But the writing was a little crass for my taste, I was confused by the number of characters and the ending seemed unrealistic. Then the epilogue was completely over the top. It seemed to have a sexist tone too.

julesG @BarbaraBB Don't bother. German author, gets lots of praise here. But I think it's overrated. Woe be on me if I said that in front of my friends, who are all hardcore fans (but only read 5-10 books a year). 4y

BirdmanjulesG Really good fictional crime is difficult for me. In most cases I have figured out who did it and why long before the end of the book. Then the writing or the characters need to be interesting enough to carry me to the end. 4y
