pick5/5 for book 2 in this series! I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book. So much suspense. I needed more from Carrigan and James from the little snippet we got from the first book. Carrigan was such a strong character. Their romance was hot and steamy. I will be continuing this series.
pickI love bad boys and this series is just full of bad boys that are sweet(ish) when they fall in love.
Carrigan knows her father will choose her husband. But until then she looks for freedom where she can. Unfortunately that comes with catching feelings for the one man she can‘t have. An enemy of their family.
James knows he can‘t keep Carrigan forever, but he‘ll do whatever he can to take care of her and lead his family.
so-soSecond book in the O'Malley series and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to read the third. It was just too corny for me. The story was a little more interesting than the first book but I still felt like some of the dialogue was too cliché for me.
pickWell, such a great follow up! James is 🔥and Carrigan was fantastic. I loved seeing how she navigated the old school world she lives in. They complimented each other perfectly. Also, I read a lot of sex scenes and these were especially smokin'! The wait until August & book 3 will be awful!
Real talk: I LOVE how Robert takes these classic tropes (enemies/I have to marry someone else & marriage of convenience btwn enemies) puts in a dash of the newish anti-hero trend and comes out with an AWESOME, fresh new series 😻 I'm so in love!
