A delightful read in spite of its violence. A discriminatory murder is unearthed thirty five years later as women of questionable careers, prostitutes, are found dead. A thrilling pageturner. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just 3 1/2 hours shy of my twenty hour goal for #AnyWayYouReadathon Thanks again for hosting!! @kimmypete1 @Eggbeater @MidnightBookGirl
Because the #FabulousFebruary readathon and the #AnyWayYouReadathon overlap I'm going to set my goals together. I plan to read 20 hours for #AnyWayYouReadathom and I plan to read the stack of books for #FabulousFebruary. I also hope to finish The Raid by Benjamin F. Schemmer and A Dark Matter by Peter Straub. Desperation is a finish for me as well.
@Andrew65 @kimmypete1 @Eggbeater @MidnightBookGirl Thanks guys for hosting! 📚🥳😘

I am enjoying the heat, food, and adventure of louisiana in james lee burke's dave robicheaux series. 6 bks in with this wonderfully titled bk as there are at least 20 or there are plenty more to enjoy.

I suspect that i may not get many more in this challenge & it is getting a bit nippy now so a timely return to the louisiana swamps with a favourite detective seems apt. James lee burke describes the scenery and culture with skill whilst combining great plots. A film crew are in town, an old adversary now tough criminal, and a nasty killer. As Dave starts seeing soldiers in the mist can he sort it all out.
