And with this, my great Books of Bayern reread is complete. I love that Rin's journey is much more interior and quiet than the other books, but that the action and excitement doesn't suffer because of it. When do we get the next gen books featuring Tusken and the 23 nieces and nephews?? #yalit #fantasy
This series - the books of Bayern - has been amazing 💚🙌🏻 I read The Goose Girl on summer holiday and wrapped up the series with this one over one day. Medieval fantasy - castles, princesses, magic powers - but suitable for pre-teen and teen readers (no adult content warnings needed), they‘re gripping and full of loveable heroines and heroes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a great conclusion to the series. In a lot of ways, it feels like Hale is tying up loose ends in her world-building as much as she is with her characters. I loved watching Rin grow into herself. Recommended!
I love this book the most because it's about an outsider peeking in, a yearning for friendship, and someone to tell you that you're ok. Pure, perfect YA.
