pickGloroiusly weird + imaginative, these short stories were haunting + unsettling, including a creepy fairground, a haunted road, a strange lake monster, a vampire, a wonderfully weird b+b, a very spooky dog, a very odd tenant, and a wife possessed by clocks, wonderfully gothic I want to rd more by this writer, + with intro by reece shearsmith what more need be said.

Its a wet and windy Saturday afternoon so I have found my next read for this autumn challenge whilst watching a b+w 👻 film with Vincent price in his finest literally pulling the strings. I'm afraid it has not dated well. I'm hoping these short stories will have me looking over my shoulder and listening for that creak on the staircase.

These short stories so far are very creepy so im taking them slowly. May finish by Halloween.
After a busy week at work I've helped finish off the shopping today, walked the dog, parents in law have arrived, oldest daughter is on train home so its time for a beer and a short ghost story on Xmas Eve eve. I've wanted to try Aikman since a passing reference in a book i rd a while ago, as i work in a town next to Rochdale this ref made me laugh, i think i will enjoy these stories and this 1st one, being dark so far is gr8 on a foggy night.
