pickThe bodies of two babies have been found in Callander Square. The police are baffled. Charlotte Pitt is curious. She is suddenly rattling the closets of the very rich, seeking out backstairs gossip that would shock a barmaid, and unearthing truths. I listened to the audio and found this book to be engaging. The mystery held my attention until the surprise ending. I would recommend this series to those who like Victorian England.

Lap cat and I were in the mood for a #reread this evening. Well, it's been over a decade for me, and he wasn't even a twinkle in a tomcat's eye back then. But doesn't he look nostalgic here? #catsoflitsy
so-soAs the second installment of this crazy long series it's just okay. I felt like it was more of a book you have to read just to get to the next one. Still worth the read though.
