pickWow, that turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I admit I wasn't sure where it was going at first, but regardless of how derivative 'sci fi dystopian future' might sound, there was something so grounded about this version. I think the art style played a large role in that. It was warm and gritty as opposed to cold and slick. There's a surveillance state and telepaths on the wrong side, but there's also the legacy of The Bat 1/?

The chronicles extras in the back of this deluxe edition were a pretty good desert. I got more of a kick out of the WWII era fighting fascists version of Batman than the fighting thugs and chastising Robin versions, could have done without the casual homophobic slur in that story too 🫤. 2mo
