Late at night, when all the trains are gone and the station is deserted, the Sarvala Express will come. It's sleek; it's state-of-the-art; it's staffed by a lizard-like race of people called Slivers, and it will condemn you to a lifetime of slavery on another planet. Kirsten Underwood is its latest victim, but she's not going to take it lying down. Whatever it takes, she will fight back and secure her return to Earth, but when everyone she sees hates her just for existing and her closest ally, the cold and secretive bird-man Skrawn, isn't much friendlier it's not going to be easy.
