Pickpick

This book was somewhere between a pick and a so-so. It ended up being a pick because all the loose ends were tied up. That doesn‘t always happen in a mystery. There‘s a big wedding. A man is murdered. Four women confess to the crime. There‘s a lot of jumping back-and-forth between backstories and how memories are shaped over time. The narrator was probably the weakest part of the book. (cont)⬇️

CatLass007 The narrator was the weakest part of this book. She seem to have difficulty differentiating between characters. So I think this book would probably be better if you read it in print. 1y

I actually had this on my TBR pile when I stumbled on it in the library. And a good thing too because I got really sick of these whiny women and would have returned it. There is a mystery plot which wasn‘t bad but women in their 30s who are college graduates should have more sense and not be so dependent on men. I am not anti-men so no letters please (LOL) but these women lived inside their own minds and lacked the courage to confront their mates.

"Four women. Four confessions. One murder." I have the day off so Newt and I are hunkering down to figure out what the heck happened and whodunnit. That or Newt just may kill me for taking pictures of him. I guess we shall see what the day brings ??

Book 15/15 #bfcr4 #bookfitnesschallenge !

Book goal compete! Workout goals next!

This was super fun, a bit fluffy at times, but when you delve into it like I did it doesn‘t even matter! Good, fun twists and life lessons.

Gina is one of my favorite authors! She‘s never disappointed me with a book yet! Everything she writes is truly magical! From drawing you in right from the beginning with a murder with 4 confessed killers! Keeping you guessing through out the whole book ‘who done it‘ and the awestruck reveal at just the perfect time! The characters felt like people you know and very relatable on many levels! 5 stars from me!

Beautiful view while my girls played in the park and I enjoyed a mostly quiet moment to read my book! Fall is so beautiful on the Mississippi River! This park host a Civil War re-enactment this weekend my family hopes to attend!
