bk to movie -a film i saw when it came out @ cinema + loved but haven't seen since and picked this bk from tbr for the challenge. It is a moving story of childhood friendships and what war does to men. The honesty in a later chapter was moving as Al admits to fear whilst birdy has sunk into trauma induced illness. loved the bk despite a chapter that dog lovers shd avoid & š‘‡
