I‘ve enjoyed both books that I‘ve read by this author. (Though didn‘t care for the reader…too overly dramatic and got on my nerves). Sort of surprised this author isn‘t more well-known.

I picked this book because I needed one set in Kansas for my #readingroadtrip

I enjoyed the mystery and actually didn't have it completely figured out before the end. Story is told from multiple character POVs and jumps between two timelines. A few dumb decisions by one character annoyed me a little, but I'm easily annoyed. 😜

I listened to this on audio, and I didn't love the narrator. I would suggest reading instead of listening!

sprainedbrain @hufflepuff_librarian I am loving it, too, and I wasn't expecting to at all! I actually only picked it because I needed a book set in Kansas for my reading road trip challenge, but this has been a pleasant surprise. 😂 7y

I stuck this out because it is a mystery and I wanted to know if I had it figured out. Overall, the story is decent but I think the book could have benefited from a good editor. I listened to this on audio and I thought it would never end. Kicking up the speed, helped some. 2⭐️
