Retro environments appeal to both the individual and collective memory and evoke nostalgic feelings. The projects included in this book are designed by such cutting edge firms as Autobahn, Dizel & Sate, Gensler, Greg Natale, JMA, Karim Rashid, Marc Newson, Sebastian CG Segers, Marcio Kogan, Pichiglas/ Alfonso de la Fuerta, Retrovius Reclamation and Design, Shaun Clarkson, Slade Architecture, Studio 63 and Wary Meyers Decorative Arts; projects include shops and hotels such as the 25 Hours Hotel, Mr Goodbar, Canter's Deli and the Miss Sixty Store in Tokyo; and residences including the Istanbul Suites, Cinza House, and homes on Mullholand Drive, and in Pasadena, Miami and Bridgehampton .
