I love the Inspector Morse stories and this is a great example of one that is more about the wider city of Oxford. A great plot and plenty of drama.

I think this would be one of my favourites in the Morse series. Quite a lot of detail in this one, and one that the reader can get their teeth stuck into as they try to theorise who the killer was and how they did it. Also a lot of Morse and Lewis in it, and dialogue between them, and between them and the suspects or witnesses. Recommended. #1986 #CenturyofBooksChallenge
Started reading this Inspector Morse Book, which is number 7 in the series and covers 1986 for my #CenturyReadingChallenge. 1/8 of the way through the book now but Morse is yet to appear!
I‘m likely to be reading from these 6 books over the next week. #WeeklyForecast
Have already started Roots.
After a disappointing 6th outing, Morse came back strong in this, the 7th of Colin Dexter‘s Inspector Morse novels. Some great dialogue between Morse and Lewis, and a much more believable storyline.
