I had super high hopes for this. But this book got off to such a slow start that I almost bailed. I didn‘t get into it until the 60% mark. I would have preferred some more consistent pacing & the nods to other fairytales to come in this series felt a bit forced. Some of the writing felt a bit weak & I‘ll still recommend THE SELECTION over this, but I might seek out the other 2 books in this series, so it‘s a solid 3.5 ⭐️ for me. #netgalley
