This was the only Bitmoji I could find with fire. Where I live we are surrounded by wild fires and may have to evacuate. All my poor poor books will have to be left behind.

"Wildfires, they choose to fight."
A devastating story so well told I flew through it in fewer than 24 hours.
So many dnfs the past couple of weeks. Trying some nonfiction for a change. Met the author at a journalism conference where she talked about getting sources to trust you.
I'm finding this book totally fascinating. It's definitely not a happy story, but shows the skill and dedication of the Granite Mountain Hotshots and the sacrifice they made in the line of duty.
Another sad non-fiction. The problem with these true stories is that sometimes that don't seem to have an end. I was hoping for more at the end about "why" it happened and if they've done anything to prevent a recurrence or why they can't.
Finished reading this. Pretty quick read Enjoyed it for most part
