pickAn enjoyable country house ‘golden age‘ mystery. Lots of characters and secrets. I didn‘t know what was going on until the end. It kept me on my toes and turning the pages. I read this with my local book group and the theme was a ‘classic‘. I think it fitted the bill as a British Crime Classic.

panConfusing. Not very suspenseful and I just kept waiting for it to be over. Interesting plot point towards the very end but otherwise it was very bland. Characters were flat, dialogue seemed to go in circles and honestly I was expecting more death. The synopsis was a bit misleading. I‘ll just stick to Agatha Christie for now.
I have all these books to get through and no idea where to start! I want to read them all! Anyone read any of these or have any thoughts as to where to begin?
