What a brilliant book!
Amazed by the detail, the believable characters and the subtle aspects of altered lives. Excellent read 📖

This is flippin ace! Seriously can't stop reading:)
Bagged this at Barter Books in Alnwick...
Interesting blurb, reminded me of Life after Life and a few others I've read.
This was an interesting read, it reminded me of the movie Sliding Doors with Gwenyth Paltrow. Lauren dies and we see how her parents cope with this and how their life continues. Then we see how her life would be if she didn't die! #books
Finished this in an enormous bite this afternoon, what an interesting story. Lauren dies and reappears in different versions of her life. A bit sliding doors but also not. We also follow her parents in the other versions and see what impact she had on them. It was easy to follow the different threads and I wanted to see how they all got on and to know how things would pan out for Lauren. The silver beams fascinated me.
I was really enjoying in the beginning, but then it meandered and I don't think the structure of the alternate lives for Lauren and family worked out well here.
The wind is blowing, the rain is pouring - what a great night for reading!!
This sounds similar to Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. Hopefully it's as good as because I only have a 7-day loan!

50 pages, am I re-reading Life after Life! The only Atkinson I haven‘t liked? Going into hibernation, not terrible, just not pulling me in.
@IamIamIam look what they‘re having in my book 😁
