When highwaymen disrupt her trip to meet her fiancé, Abigail Gilbert meets Samuel Thatcher, a horse patrol captain, just in time. Each has something the other needs, so they embark on the remainder of Abby‘s journey with a tenuous agreement. Only, it‘s a far more obstacle-laden adventure than they anticipated, leading to a few interesting—and delightful—twists and turns.

Samuel Thatcher a horse patrol captain arrives just in time to save Abby. She‘s simply another victim in a job he has grown to despise. He has grown tired of the dark side of humanity, he has plans to buy land and retire.
Traveling through the English countryside in 1815 was not easy, nor was it safe. Let the adventure begin! Join Abby and Samuel, unlikely travel partners, as they journey through a not-so-peaceful time and place. So many experiences to be had...danger, illness, trust, suspicion, uncertainty and my favorite...divine appointments. What could possibly go wrong? Might things go impossibly right?
An enjoyable read!
The Noble Guardian by Michelle Griep is a FANTASTIC page-turner. I loved every minute of this book. The settings are vivid, the characters are tremendously endearing, and the action is non-stop. I truly could not put this book down!

“So begins an impossible trek for the cynical lawman and the proper lady. Each will be indelibly changed by the time they reach her betrothed, if they don‘t kill one another first—or fall in love.”
I had 3 favorite authors before I read this, now I have 4. Such an incredibly charming & beautifully written historic romance. Enter the world of England classes, highwaymen, and the plight of women in the early 1800s. Dialogue takes you on a time warp & the romance story is so well-developed from start to finish. Fantastic, suspenseful story. #romance #netgalley #michellegriep #historicalromance
