What a funny quirky little book. You might not think you want to read a surprisingly lyrical account of the lifespan of an oyster followed by a witty exploration of recipes and various uses, but it was exactly the fun read I needed right now. Obv some of the descriptions are quite 'of their time' but the style reminded me a bit of David Sedaris. I'm curious as to which restaurant she visited in Liverpool. (still not trying oysters though. Sorry.)
