The Giants have since disappeared, but their return is imminent. Until then, the fight between intelligent species is on, and it's up to the valiant Hamster Aquatic Mercenaries--HAM--to keep their horde alive. In The Underfoot: The Mighty Deep, HAM sets out on a journey to save their allied forces--a group of badgers--from dangerous flooding, but they'll need more troops before they can set sail. Only the best of the best can join the ranks and earn the HAM badge, and the ambitious young hamster pups compete for their chance at glory and prestige. When the smallest hamster, Ruby, gets selected for the mission, she's quickly thrown into life outside the horde: a world full of new threats and strangely conflicting stories about their species' origin.
