Wonderful short story collection set in a small Mexican village during the early 1900s, interspersed with magical realism that really just feels like the magic of ordinary life. Highly recommend if you can find it, 5⭐ Also learned about cochitos aka the pig cookies pictured a delicious sounding gingerbread cookie and on a less delightful note about Chinese immigrants in Mexico being deported, Mr Lee in the book is ok but wow I had no idea about it
