pickThis was a good mystery where prosecutor Alex Cooper needs to look carefully at those in the legal establishment for her murderer. While the mode of death seemed a bit far-fetched, it was still entertaining. Alex's relationship seems to have settled and I'm happy to avoid all the man drama.
pickIt‘s 5.30am Sunday here in Sydney but I‘m still plodding on! #Bk4 is finished for the #24in48 #readathon The 20th book in the ADA Alex Cooper series by Fairstein, a former prosecutor in the Sex Crimes Unit in Manhattan, it wasn‘t the best she‘s written but still a solid page turner. Though I‘d guessed the ending by the halfway mark!👩🏼⚖️👮🏻♂️ Debating whether to get some sleep or kick on till I drop🤔

My #TBRcart has plenty more where they come from, I think I can make a different stack for each hour of the readathon & not double up on books! pickWhat felt a bit like a return to form on this, Cooper‘s 20th outing. Less@personal nonsense and a good solid case or two rooted firmly in #metoo territory. I respect Fairsteins‘s background in working with victims of violent crime and sexual assault and I think she always covers the crimes with compassion vs titilation. This lived up to that!
