When I Had a Little Sister: The Story of a Farming Family Who Never Spoke | 
so-soThis book is a combination of memorializing a younger sister who died from suicide and a look back at a shared family history. Using extensive journals her sister wrote from 12 until her death (at age 46) the author slowly & painfully retraces her sister‘s downward spiral with bipolar disease. More sad than informative, I think the author benefitted from writing this memoir but as a reader there was no take away for me. Just a very sad story.
Cinfhen Thanks for the book @TrishB It‘s definitely the type of book I “enjoy” reading but this one left me a little cold. It was missing the human touch I often need in reads of this nature. 6y
