2 posts | 32 read | 3 reading
The members of the Tribulation Force face their most dangerous challenges. Following the assassination of the Antichrist, some are murder suspects; others test the precarious line between subversion and being revealed. All over the news, reporters announce that Rayford Steele is Nicolae Carpathia’s assassin, but Buck soon learns the truth. The world mourns the loss of a world leader until events at Nicolae’s funeral bring all mourning to an end. A repackage of the seventh book in the New York Times best-selling Left Behind series.

This is apparently from the Left Behind series... I'm an atheist 😂
@Libby1

Libby1 Oh dear. I grew up in fundamentalist circles but managed to avoid that series. Thankfully, I also managed to avoid remaining in fundamentalist circles! 6y

Panpan

I used to love these books as a young fundy, so revisiting them 15 years later has been hilarious and somehow a way of moving on. The plots are larger than life, totally unrealistic, unintendedly hilarious, and the writing is so excruciatingly painful. The portrayal of Buck as an unparalleled journalist is made ironic by the poor quality of the fictional articles attributed to him. Still, somehow nostalgic and oddly familiar and comfortable.

Purrsistently Oh man. I haven‘t been composed enough to come back to look at these or peretti. 😅 7y
