I took Casey on a long, gloomy #audiowalk ahead of the strong winds we‘re supposed to get this afternoon. We saw fake deer and met a 3-legged dog (from across the street).
TO MY FUTURE NUMBER 1 FAN is still really good. It felt appropriate that one hero‘s dog got a lot of page time while I walked MY dog, too.
Everything‘s better with a dog. This is science.
I did more #audiocooking! My homemade tortillas hold taco-spiced tofu with okra and corn, topped with maple-gochujang Brussels sprout slaw. I went a bit too heavy on the okra, but otherwise I‘m pleased.
This actor/regular person romance is super sweet so far. I‘m glad I got a lot of time with it today! Hopefully it‘ll be nicer out tomorrow so I can squeeze in even more listening time on Casey‘s walks.
I found the energy to do some #audiocooking for my mum: the stew for a beef & mushroom pie. This is the first time I‘ve ever cut or cooked a round onion, they being the very reason I got into cooking. I hate everything about them unless they‘re COMPLETELY melted into base, as in Indian cuisine, and many people can‘t cook without them. If I don‘t make my own food, I often don‘t eat.
Needless to say, I won‘t be eating this. Hopefully Mum likes it.
