A very basic dragon slayer story with not enough chapters told from the Dragons pov. None of the characters really stand out either.
But that cover art is fire!! I love Richard Anderson‘s art and will grab any books with it on it.

Some new books I was able to snag thanks to bookoutlet having them for super cheap! And book two is currently in route (bookoutlet got it after I purchased these two.) I have seen a lot of good things about this series and I have been interested in it, so I am looking forward to starting it in the next month or so.
Dragonslayer is the fantasy embodiment of dad bod Spider-Man: former best-in-the-land swordsman Gill has been out of the game for a while, but a newly awoken dragon isn't waiting for him to get back in shape. Add in a new young friend (Solène) who possesses untested, potent magic. Chapters from the dragon's POV are a unique element. A fun adventure suitable for many ages, as it refrains from mature content. Plus, all 3 will publish w/in 12 months!
This book has a delightful dry wit, and my absolute favorite thing is Gill continually trying to spend as much of the Prince Bishop's (his old rival) money as possible.
