A super fun middle grade adventure about books! It was fun seeing character relationships grow, and reading about all of the book shenanigans. I also enjoyed that the uncle seems neurodivergent, based on the things he enjoys and the particular things he can‘t stand (like when the phone rings it utterly disrupts his entire day and feels like the loudest sound ever). #BooksAboutBooks #MiddleGrade #Adventure #NeuroDiversity

This was a fun adventure about books! My favorite topicš�° Juan spends the summer with his eccentric uncle who lives in a unique library where the books have a mind of their own. The plot was unique and I enjoyed watching Juan reconnect with his family after struggling to accept his parent‘s divorce. The ending was very sweet as well. My only complaint is the way Indigenous people were stereotypically portrayed (in Juan‘s favorite book series).

I know this is a middle grade book but oh my, I absolutely adore it. It captures the love of books and how they have a different meaning to each reader. It is so full of marvellous descriptions that I could write a whole post just using quotesā€¦it is truly special and with its magic, will appeal to book lovers everywhere and of all ages.
