Enjoyable. Quite dark. Full of twisty family secrets and drama. Half the crimes in this small town seem to take place in the library. The underlying plot is great. I loved the cliffhanger ending on this one.

This book is cracking me up. The author is comparing the “big city” of Sacramento to Seattle. 🤣 Earlier a scene took place in a fancy skyscraper apt with a doorman...in East Sacramento. As a life-long Sactown resident, this is super amusing to me. (The mystery is very entertaining, weird geography notwithstanding.)
