Former lovers reunite to solve a cold case, but Rain doesn't want Danny to know he can talk to ghosts. Fun, fast paced read chock full of banter and spice. Also chock full of inconsistencies and copaganda, which is less fun. Great square for #Swifty bingo, because they are never ever getting back together. 😁

“Dinah's face suffused with color. 'You can't speak to me like that.' For all of her rough exterior, she sounded like Anne of Green gables. Insert petticoat and pearls to clutch.“

Um.... what?

Faranae Has this writer ever actually.... read Anne of Green Gables? Or seen any of the adaptations? I'm trying to even imagine Anne owning pearls, much less clutching them. 1mo
willaful @Faranae The narrator shows himself to be ridiculously gullible, so I'll charitably assume it was a planned character flaw. 😂 1mo
PaperbackPirate Tell me you haven‘t read Anne of Green Gables without telling me you haven‘t read Anne of Green Gables. 😂 1mo

Mehso-so

This title seemed perfect for the prompt "read a spooky book". Except it wasn't spooky at all. There were ghosts sure, but the scare factor was 0. The ghosts are on their best behaviour because a medium is hard to find, and they really want messages delivered to loved ones and their murderers brought to justice. So it's a cold case mystery with a bit of romance and an FBI profiler who is a reluctant ghost wrangler. OK enough, but some plot holes

Snarky main character, paranormal mystery & #romantsy. The narration was a bonus. 👻👻👻👻

Ghost Whisperer meets Cold Case Files - with a side of romance. Lots of use of my favorite four letter word that rhymes with duck. Also, loquacious shows up and I love big words so there‘s that too. Now I want another paranormal mystery, dammit.

bookwrm526 Well I love both those shows, so I‘m stacking this one!! 6y
jpmcwisemorgan @bookwrm526 It‘s a stand alone but I could see it working into a series. It was a little light for a police/crime book but that‘s ok. Sometimes things don‘t need to be gritty. 6y
