Great story. Perhaps I liked it because the banks were evil.

Hmmm... a very weak so-so! The real mystery here is how this young woman, with no powers of deduction and with quite poor math skills, was a straight A student and became an engineer. The “voices” of the two MCs here are also so similar it‘s very difficult to keep them apart, especially when they are both equally stupid. A very unsatisfying read.

Nutmegnc It was a dnf for me. 6y

Fellow Littens have said this was too slow for them, and I can't disagree. But I decided to persist despite the heroines being impossibly naive. I put this in the mystery, not thriller category. 2.5 stars.

ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled Oh well. Thanks for letting us know!! 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled You're welcome. I wish I'd liked it more, although I didn't hate it. Not much of an endorsement, huh? 😜 8y
Texreader Thanks for letting us know! At 2.5 I think it will remain a DNF. Yea I forgot the MC's naïveté. 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Texreader I wouldn't talk you out of a DNF. It worked for me this weekend, but life's too short when books aren't doing it for you! 8y

I'm surprised that I liked this book - usually not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it. Suspenseful and easy read.

Another favorite. The mystery is compelling. The descriptions of the abandoned bank are both eerie and beautiful. I was able to relate to the main character, which is always a plus.

Yikes! We really only have 3 choices here, would you agree? The book is so-so but here's the deal: if you LIKE so-so mysteries perhaps this one will be OK for you but if you don't usually read mysteries? I would suggest you skip this one.
