Started this series. Finished book 1 in a day, it's good. Wondering what the other 6 books hold. Onto book 2

This was a great book. If you are looking for an easy but entertaining read then this is your book. Alexander Stowe is what the book considered as an unwanted and any unwanted in the story is supposed to be killed. Instead Alex walks into a magical world. Little does he know that one day that magic will save this hidden world.
I bought the Unwanteds series for my nephew a few years ago and as of 5 days ago still had not read any of it myself. When I arrived for Christmas, he insisted I read the first book immediately. It‘s a good story, and I love the emphasis on creativity and friendship. I don‘t know that I‘ll continue the series myself right now, but I‘ll be sure to keep recommending them to students that like fantasy.

#two4tuesday Thanks @TheSpineView for the tag!
1) I don‘t really read either. I used to love paranormal but not for decades. So I have to say fantasy. I‘m tagging a tween fantasy series I read with my son that I just loved.
2) Vampires, because two of my all-time fave books are Dracula and The Historian. It‘s been a long time but I‘ve read good werewolf books too.
Do you have some faves @freeatlast1137 @crimson613 @Scochrane26 @GingerAntics ?
Genre:fantasy
Start: Dec. 5, 2019
End: Dec. 10, 2019
Why: It was given to me by a friend
After finding out he is Unwanted, Alex prepares himself for death. Every year, all 13 year olds are labelled as Wanted, Necessary, or Unwanted, and unfortunately, being unwanted means death. Instead of being killed, Alex enters the magical land of Artime, where he is allowed to use magic. And as his magical skills progress, Alex learns that he truly is wanted.
The book The Unwanteds was so good that I am reading the second one. This magical fantasy book has peril, battles, and a positive message. I recommend this book to readers who love fantasy, adventure, and most importantly magic in their books.
Genre: Fantasy
Date Started: September 16 - October 3, 2019
How did you choose the book:
I chose this book because I was interested to reading more fantasy books and I wanted to try something new and my friend also recommended it to me
Summary:
The two twins 13 year-olds, Aaron and Alex, are in 2 seperated ways. One attends to a university while the other person is expected to be killed but finds a place where they can both learn magic.
So many of my 6th graders were getting into this series so I just bought the boxed set. #raisingreaders #reluctantreaders
Finished /my review: I enjoyed this book sting diverse characters each with their own story. This is about one of the only books that I have read that I agreed with the tagline” hunger games meets Harry Potter .” There was a lot of magic and some messed up kids due to the caused by the madness of their government leaders. I loved the ideas presented in this story and new ways to perform magic.
#7 seven books in the original series. And now there is a spin off series that has 2 or three books.

Some much needed reading & rest happening tonight 💙
#audiocoloring this really lovely animal coloring book. Not sure I'm digging this audiobook, the #firstnovel in this series. It's like a self-fullfilling prophecy with Alex 😒 and the narration is kind of annoying. At first, it felt nostalgic like Harry Potter, but then eh. May be a #bail

I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH! If you haven't read The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann yet, then you definitely need to get to that. They're such fast paced books and the characters are the literal best. 5/5⭐️ for the entire series!
Just about to finish this first one in the series that I'm reading at my son's recommendation--well, he put them in a pile by my bed and said "read them." It's very good and the blurb at the top is correct. The place of magic and respect for human life and freedom, unfortunately, is illogical, I'm not sure if on purpose. There is continual monitoring so the powers that be know everyone's whereabouts. Seems ripe for abuse by the wrong leader.
I haven't read this yet but I bought it for a friend. I thought I would make her a suprise book box. She's been down lately. And since I know she doesn't believe in social media I know she won't see this. Any one read it? I have the entire series in my book outlet cart but I can not buy books for a bit.
Part of son's Easter gifts. @LazyOwl
This book is well written with very little flaws but It fails to keep me interested
A YA fantasy series that is #outofthisworld. I devoured the first half of this series and I'm working on the second half. #booktober
