Second half was better, but it loses the freshness of the story. The moral conondrum of using the notebook's powers to kill criminals is not addressed here and Light and L's constant deductions have no logical base. I really enjoyed the last half thought and there's no doubt I'll read the next volume, so I'll give it a pick (even when it starts to be a dubious pick)

Continuing with the series tonight.

While I‘m enjoying it immensely, I don‘t get the hype at all. I mean like the SUPER crazed hype. It‘s not an original concept at its core. But I am only about halfway through, so there‘s still time to be amazed!! ☺️

This volume starts out feeling like nothing new is happening and rehashing previous plot mechanisms. Thankfully that improved about Midway through the book and picks up the pace quickly at the end.
