What would Little Women be without the charms of the March familys cozy New England home? Or Wuthering Heights without the ghost-infested Wuthering Heights? Getting lost in the setting of a good book can be half the pleasure of reading, (…more)

Hi Littens! Does anyone display their books outward like this? Do you like it or does it make your house seem like a store? Thinking of doing this in my living room in between two bookcases.

suzie.reads It would remind me too much of work. We display the books like this in class 😂 6y
ReadingsByTheC @suzie.reads So true! I hadn't even thought about being reminded of school. 6y
Mdargusch I don‘t display that way but I think it would make a great display. It would be a great place for TBR books, so you don‘t forget about them. (edited) 6y

ReadingsByTheC @Mdargusch Great idea about TBR books! I'm always forgetting what I have since I have a teeny book buying problem. 😉 6y
PagesByTheWater I don‘t display my books this way, but I do have plans of displaying my daughter‘s in this fashion. Right now here‘s are displayed traditionally (spines outward) but some of her books are so thin, they have no spine to read! 6y
ReadingsByTheC @PagesByTheWater It would definitely be great for picture books. And easier for kids too. 6y
PagesByTheWater @ReadingsByTheC yes lol. I don‘t think it‘s a great way to store books in the long term, but visually, between two bookshelves you mentioned, I‘d imagine it‘d be a nice way to display TBR or seasonal books, or books you read often. If this is in an area with a lot of foot traffic it gives guests a peek at your reading interests. 6y
JLaurenceCohen I do in our nursery and we love it how looks. 6y

Since I've spent most of the day putting up pictures, building a bookcase (blister!), redistributing books and laying a rug, this book seemed particularly suitable!
