#hellothursday @wanderinglynn

1) knitting, crocheting, weaving, embroidery, puzzles, jigsaws, cooking, baking, soap making,....
2) boxing, paper making, wood turning,...
3) mugs, hippos, bookmarks, postcards, notebooks, fountain pens
4) family obligations. Honestly, I had to learn to knit and crochet at an early age. Later, at about 15 years old, I needed something to do that would stop me picking my nails. So I took up knitting again.
5) Aye!

wanderinglynn Boxing is so much fun (plus an excellent workout)! I highly recommend it. Thanks for playing! 💜 6y
julesG @wanderinglynn One day. As well as climbing and pole dancing. I'm allowed to dream, right? 6y
wanderinglynn Absolutely! 😉 6y
Stacy_31 I've always wanted to try pole dancing! It's supposed to be an amazing workout. 6y
julesG @Stacy_31 My physio therapist (she's 25) does it. She enjoys it a lot, but she also had a lot of bruises and sore muscles during the first weeks. I'm not sure I could do it at the moment, I'm not strong enough to support my body weight. 6y

@Lindy

Wearing "My Crypronite" shawl today. Pattern by Melanie Berg, not sure whether it's in the tagged book.

Bought the yarn in London. I think either one of the two nearly identical whitish yarns is BFL or the green. Can't remember.

One of my favourite shawls. So snuggly warm.

Sitting in my reading chair, cat on my lap. Thank the book gods for long arms. Can reach my books without disturbing the cat. ?

LittlePixels 😍😍😍 6y
Lindy Ha! Don‘t disturb deities! Knowing there‘s BFL in your shawl helps me imagine how soft it must be. It looks fantastic! 6y
julesG @Lindy Thank you! The other yarns are 100% Merino. It is very soft. (I might have become a yarn snob. Only soft yarns that are a joy to work with.) 6y

Lindy @julesG I don‘t know if you remember the bison mittens that I designed and made; I chose a merino superwash because of the 4 colours I needed. I didn‘t like the feel of the superwash treatment on the yarn as I was knitting and I didn‘t like the feel of the finished mittens. My sister has suggested using the remaining yarn to make gifts for others, since people will like being able to throw them in the laundry with everything else. 6y
julesG @Lindy I know exactly what you mean. I only use superwash yarn for socks. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, Wollmeise yarn is superwash too (it should be, it's sock yarn after all), but it has a very soft feel to it. I like using it for shawls and mittens, too. I've made gifts from superwash yarn for friends and they were happy about the items, but for myself I only use the posh yarn. 6y
AmyG So pretty!!! 6y
julesG @AmyG Thank you! 6y
Margievz I love her patterns! And that yarn colors is gorgeous. Nothing beats knitting with a kitty on your lap (and in my case, a doggie at your feet!) 6y
julesG @Margievz Thank you! Yes, I love her patterns too. 6y
Bklover Looks so cozy! 6y
Kaye Very pretty. Green is my favorite color. You also have such a classically pretty face. 6y
julesG @Bklover Thanks! 6y
julesG @kaye Thank you! I'm blushing now. 6y
Kaye You really do. I don‘t mean to sound like a weirdo but I just give comments out frequently when I see someone who has a beautiful face or hair. You really are gorgeous. If I looked that good, I‘d be a Super model. I think I‘m a bit past my prime for that unless I‘m modeling hearing aids or old people stuff. 6y
julesG @kaye Truly, thank you Julie. I'm just not used to getting compliments. I'm used to hearing a lot of negative "compliments" since I'm not on the lean side, like to dress weirdly, and rarely wear makeup. Again, thank you. I'll cherish this. ? 6y

Finished shawl in use on Tuesday. Pattern name is Helgoland and it might be in this, fairly recently released, book by the designer.

And the sunrise I've just watched.
