Inventario de inventos (inventados): breve catálogo de invenciones imaginarias | Eduardo Berti
An inventory of fictional writings, this collection depicts outrageous inventions as conceived in the minds of their ingenious writers. There is Baby H. P., by Mexican author Juan José Arreola, which describes an electronic devise that mothers can use to convert their children's vitality into an energy source for the home. There is Kallocain, by Swedish novelist Karin Boye, which describes a totalitarian world of terror where citizens are forced into taking a "truth drug" that suppresses their opposition to authority, and various other fantastical inventions are also part of this collection.
