I found that the back & forth from Present & Past, s as long with both POVs to be off putting a bit but still very readable.
‼️SPOLIER: Have all the books in this series ready before starting. The cliffhanger with no book 2 to keep going was very🤬🤦🏻♀️

pickI love Meghan March trilogies because all the twists and turns blow my mind. As usual I felt so much emotional stress as this book jumped from the past to the present and back again. Each time a little more is understood about what went on between these two.
Book 1 gives us some history of Whitney and Lincoln. Their families are bitter enemies, but a one night stand before they know each other‘s names leads to more. But forces are conspiring.
panI just skimmed the rest of this to get to the ending, which I knew was going to be a cliffhanger. But even if I had read the book word-for-word, it wouldn‘t have made me want to read the second book. This one wasn‘t for me.
I‘m really struggling with this one. I feel like the story is being...forced? It‘s pretty repetitive too. I‘ve made it to 64% so I‘m gonna keep going. Maybe. But #thatcoverthough
