Angela Dominguez is a Pura Belpré award winner for her illustrations. I love that she wrote this book with Spanish translations! This F story is about Maria and her llama, who follows her everywhere. This story is a great RA book that depicts a beautiful friendship without boundaries.
UDL principle 2.4 (Promote understanding across languages) is perfect for this RA as the book is written in two languages.

Keishla.O ESOL strategy 4 (Link lesson topic to students‘ prior knowledge) is also perfect for this RA because it allows Spanish speaking students to relate their language to the English text in the book.

Brittany_H I love that this book has a Spanish version, great for inclusion in our classrooms! The different leveled maps in your resource are a great way to keep the students engaged and learn how to pay attention to the details in a story. 5y
DrSpalding Yes! How wonderful that you have two traditional literature variance on the same classic, Mary had a little lamb. Helpful resource and nice alignment. 5y

What a cute play on 'Mary had a little lamb'! You would be surprised how hard it is to find picture books with llamas at our library!
