This is the third instalment of The Dark is Rising sequence of fantasy novels for children. It's the first time we see Will with the Drew children, so I always enjoy reading this one.

This was a reread, and enjoyed as much as usual! Always good to get to the parts where Jane Drew has a chance to shine.

It also fills a free space for #BookspinBingo, where I'm being quite indecisive on where I'm going for a line...

It's really interesting reading this series for the first time as an adult. This seems to be the one that most people glossed over as kids, but so far it's my favorite. Also, Jane seems to have gotten the vast majority of the common sense amongst the Drew siblings.

AKA the one where Jane saves the day and Barney is too stupid to live.

The third book on the dark is rising series. Bringing the children of both precious books together in a quest to find the one thing that can stop the dark from rising. Very enjoyable read.
