Mehso-so

Was unwell, so spent the day in bed with this book. It is well-written, and I like Nalia, the protagonist, and Raif, her love interest.

Too much backstory in places made me skim, and Malek didn't sound like a convincing character. The chapters where Haran went on his binges became predictable and repetitive after a while.

Moving on to the next in the series, but might just bail from that one.

Good for light reading, I guess.

Pickpick

Sometimes when publishers change cover designs, I buy the one I like from overseas. I really like this jinni story; it's sensual and atmospheric, and feels like a blend of urban + historical fantasy. Fair warning that the master/slave dynamic can be a bit uncomfortable, however.

Angieville Oh, I do like that gold cover. 8y
misswendyd @Angieville Have you read this, Angie? I can send you my extra if you haven't! 8y

"Granting wishes is a bitch." This book had me from the first sentence of the first chapter. I'm really enjoying this book so far.
