Totally #nonbookrelated but I have to share. I have the most amazing kids ever. They just encouraged me to 'go buy/order that weaving loom already'. So that's what just did. It'll be delivered next week. 😀 I see a lot of #AudioWeaving in my future.

For the #FibreFansOfLitsy, it's an Ashford Knitters Loom and I've been sneaking around this for a long while now.

LeahBergen I can‘t wait to see what you make!! 👏🏻👏🏻 6y

LibrarianJen That‘s so awesome! My Aunt has a Navajo loom but refuses to teach me. She does live out of town and it would take a long time to learn. But still! 6y
julesG @LibrarianJen Some yarn shops offer courses where you can borrow/use a loom from the shop. Maybe that's an option, or get one of those small looms for kids and get started. It's not rocket science and there are lots of 'how to' videos on YouTube. 6y
LibrarianJen @julesG Unfortunately Navajo weaving isn‘t usually taught to outsiders so getting lessons would be difficult for me. It also takes a long time to learn and a long time to do properly. However, I have thought about taking classes for regular weaving. It looks so fun and any excuse to work with fiber...❤️ 6y
julesG @LibrarianJen Yes, I was thinking of regular weaving. Once you have the hang of it, you might try teaching yourself Navajo weaving - there are a few tutorials on YouTube, I've just checked. 😉 6y
k.reads That‘s awesome! I‘ve always wanted to try weaving. 6y
