Was just thinking about my late grandma. The tagged book and series was her all time favorite. In fact, she travelled to the island where the author lived, just to meet her. First you need to take the ferry to the main island, and then I think it was four cable ferries to reach this stunning, but remote island. My granny and the author became good friends, and stayed friends until Anni died. She lost a son and her husband to the sea she loved. 💕

Binge watching this at the moment. I've heard a lot about it but have never really seen it before. I thought that now would be the time to get to know it better. I'm enjoying it a lot. It's an old tale and old tv series but it still captures the atmosphere of the story really well. 😊
